There is some very good news for Tata Sky+ lovers and aficionados. Tata Sky+ has doubled it’s recording time from 45 hours to 90 hours and it’s free for all the existing Tata Sky+ subscribers!
Doubling the recording capacity means that we can record twice as much content. I am sure all Tata Sky users will be delighted to hear this. What intrigued me and a lot of my friends is how did they manage to do it. Tata Sky must have some of the best brains in India in their software team and they surely have pulled off a marvel. Software was upgraded for Tata Sky+ and I could not find even a single bug in the software. Also, the interface looks sleek and absolutely brilliant. A lot of people are speculating that they did this working on higher compression and up scaling capabilities to store the data. Whatever the technical details of this upgrade, this doubling of recording time is a significant value addition in an already great service!
