Tata Sky Features: Parental Control Feature in Tata Sky DTH

These days, in nuclear families where both the parents work, it is very difficult for parents to control what their kids watch on television. There is lot of content on TV today, which is quiet inappropriate for young children. The parental control facility is a good way to control what your child watches on TV while you are away. While most of you may be aware that there does exist a parental control facility on Tata Sky DTH, you may have not used it. So, I will just explain in short, as to how this feature can be used:

1. First, press the blue colour “Organiser” button on your Tata Sky remote.
2. Among the options, select the option which states “Parental control”
3. When, you select parental control, you will see a Pin. Enter you Pin and it shall show you various options.
4. There are two main features to control viewing, which are “viewing restrictions” and “channel lockout”
5. In “viewing restrictions”, you can restrict a certain category of programs.
6. In “channel lockout”, you can block access to particular channels.

The restricted categories and locked channels can be viewed by entering the PIN. The main parental control menu also allows you to change the PIN number. Incase, you forget the PIN, you can call Tata Sky Helpline for assistance.

Thus, as you can see above, the parental control feature is very simple and easy to use.
