I think Actve Games is one of the best things that has happened to DTH in a long time. Just imagine the plight of so many office workers like me, who come home tried from work and want to unwind. They switch on the TV and what do they see? So teary eyed saas-bahu soap or “breaking news” hysterics of news channel anchors.
Quiet thankfully, Tata Sky now offers a wide range of interactive games on its Actve Games service. We can now choose from a range of exciting games that can be played through theTata Sky remote. These games are refreshed periodically so that the excitement levels never wane. These games include Ninja Mahjong, Yuvraj Singh Cricket Championship, Tank Raid, Kombat Fighter to name a few.
I have been enjoying these games especially the cricket one. This is quiet a thing for casual games who just want to have some fun. Tata Sky is offering Actve Games free till 31st Aug 2010 , you can all try it out.

Apparently, if the subscriber sends the SMS from RMN, then an FR will be raised and the engineer will visit the premises within 48 hours.
Rain outage is an industry wide phenomenon. In the monsoon season, many subscribers face signal problems due to heavy rains. But as far as I know, Tata Sky is the only DTH operator to take proactive steps to resolve the same. I see this as a genuine desire on the part of Tata Sky to acknowledge and improve some of the DTH industry wide issue which they face and build and excellent rapport with their customers. I have heard a lot of positive feedback from readers so it appears their strategy is really working well.

It always depends on what use is made of it. TV is leveraged in a good way with kids can become a very useful teaching aid.
Tragedy of India has been the inability of our education system to think outside the box. Audio visual teaching aids are only available in only the crème of the schools.
