1 What is the new offering on Tata Sky?
"Tata Sky now gives you the power of building your own pack. Apart from the genre based packages prepared especially for your convenience, you can now also choose channels on individual basis.
You can either create your pack with only individual channels or do a mix-n-match of the existing TruChoice packs with individual channels. Just ensure that your minimum monthly subscription charges are Rs 150 or more.
The subscribers on old packaging can also select additional channels on individual basis."
2 Which all category of subscribers can avail of Make My Pack Service?
Individual channels will be available to all Residential regular, Residential VVIP Paying, Residential bulk SL, Corporate residential & Cat B (Non PVA, B1 & B3 subscribers)
3 How does this Make My Pack Service work?
All channels on Tata Sky are now available on individual basis. This means you can choose any channel of your choice and pay only for that channel. You can either create your pack with only individual channels for a minimum subscription of Rs 150 or mix-n-match your existing TruChoice packs with individual channels. The subscribers on old packaging can also select additional channels on individual basis.
4 What are the advantages of subscribing to channels on individual basis?
"Selecting channels on individual basis gives you the following advantages:
1. Pay only for channels that you watch
2. Freedom of choice. Make your own selection/pack
E.g. If you have subscribed to Super Saver Pack on Tata Sky but would like to watch select Kannada channels, you now have the option of choosing those channels on an individual basis. Or if you are on TruChoice Packaging and want to watch only Star Movies, now you can do so by paying for one additional channel alone for a additional sum. "

7 What if the channels I have chosen do not add up to Rs 150?
Sorry, but you will necessarily have a minimum monthly subscription of Rs 150 to make your own pack.
8 I am currently on Old Packaging (Super Hit/South Saver, etc) can I avail of individual channels?
Yes. Channels listed under individual can be availed by old package subscribers..For e.g. a Super Hit subscribers can avail of Cartoon Network on an individual basis.
9 I am currently on TruChoice Packaging, can I avail of individual channels?
Yes. Channels listed under individual can be availed by TruChoice package subscribers also. E.g.. Supreme Pack subscribers can choose to opt for Star Movies/HBO on an individual basis.
10 I have subscribed to channels on Tata Sky on individual basis. Can I subscribe to optional packs?
"If you have subscribed to channels on an individual basis then you can not subscribe to optional packs E.g. if you have selected some channels worth Rs 150 monthly subscription, you CAN NOT opt for optional packs. So packs like English Movies or Sports Platinum or Cosmo will not be allowed.
However, you could change over to a TruChoice popular pack & then opt for optional packs like the English Movies or Sports Platinum."
11 I have subscribed to channels on Tata Sky on individual basis paying Rs 150 per month ? Can I change my package to TruChoice Supreme?
Yes. If you have opted for all individual channels and want to opt for TruChoice Packs you can do so. This can be done by calling the helpline.
12 I have subscribed to channels on Tata Sky on individual basis? Can I change my package to Super Saver?
No. If you have opted for all individual channels and want to opt for Old Packs you CAN NOT do so. But you could move to Grand pack or any of our TruChoice packages.
13 Why is the sum of individual channels part of a pack is more expensive when compared to the pack price?
When you buy goods in large quantity you do get a price advantage. This is true for packages too. If you are interested a combination of channels it is recommended that you opt for packages instead of choosing individual channels.
14 Is there a minimum duration of subscribing to individual channels?
Yes. You can subscribe to individual channels for a minimum duration of 90 days.
15 Are individual channels available on long duration basis?
All individual channels are available only on a monthly basis. Long duration options are not available; except for select channels & services like Topper, Actve English, Actve Games & Fun Learning.
16 If I select all packages on individual basis, can I get two regional channel packs free?
No. If you have the subscribed to channels on individual basis, you cannot get two regional packs free.
17 I have subscribed to long duration packs, can I avail channels on individual basis?
If you have subscribed to long duration packs, you can avail of other channels on an individual basis. However if you wish to discontinue the long duration pack you shall forfeit the amount already paid for.
18 How can I subscribe to individual channels?
You can subscribe to individual channels by calling the helpline and speaking to a Tata Sky associate.
19 Can I add the individual channels through SMS, online & ubona?
Currently you can add the channels only through the helpline. Self-care options of SMS, web & UBONA are currently not available.
"SMS codes are available on each channel subscriber does not subscribe to. Lets say you want to opt for the WB channel....
When you send the add wbch SMS to 56633 from your Regd Mobile:
- If you are a subscriber of our old packs, the Cosmo pack will be added to your account
- If you are a subscriber of our TruChoice packs, the English Movies pack will get added to the account
- If you have made your own pack for a minimum subscription of Rs 150 by picking & choosing all channels, the SMS auto response will request you to call the helpline."
20 What about self care?
In the initial months, you will not be able to opt for individual channels on self care. You will need to call the Helpline.
21 What happens to the PVR recordings?
When a subscriber changes his package, even if he retains the channel on which the content was recorded earlier, he will stand to lose the recordings
22 What will be multiroom charges?
There is no change in the subscription charges for multiroom services. All the channels available in the primary box will also be available on the multiroom connection.
23 Can I subscribe to Actve Wizkids on individual basis?
No. The services offered on Tata Sky are available as packs and can be subscribe to part of the pack alone. Actve Wizkids can be subscribed to only as part of the Fun Learning Pack on Tata Sky.
24 What will be listed under Helpdesk?
All choices with the pricing - be it Old Packaging, TruChoice & individual packaging will be listed on helpdesk section
25 What about the language feeds of channels like Cartoon Network, National Geographic if I subscribe to them individually?
By opting for individual channels will get all language options available on the channel under individual offering.
What about DD channels? Will I be charged for them if I opted for them individually?
Yes. Of the DD channels available, 8 channels are being given to all Tata Sky active subscribers & you would get those too if you chose to make your own pack. These channels include DD National, DD News, DD Bharati, DD Gyan Darshan, DD Urdu, DD Sports, Lok Sabha TV & Rajya Sabha TV.
Which all channels are not available on an a-la-carte basis?
The following channels offered on Tata Sky can be subscribed to by opting for the respective channel/service on Tata Sky:
1. Cbeebies will be made available only as part of Fun Learning Pack
2. NDTV Hindu will be offered free along with NDTV 24x7
3. DD Saptagiri, DD Gujarati, DD Kashir & DD Punjabi can be viewed by subscribing to the Actve Doordarshan service
4. Actve Star News will be offered to all subscribers who opt for Star News.
5. Sri Venkateshwara Bhakti channel will be offered with the Actve Darshan service

Sorry, but you will necessarily have a minimum monthly subscription of Rs 150 to make your own pack.
